[Construction Case] Long-distance and Curved Pushing Work with Small Soil Cover

Equipped with enhanced shell bits that guarantee long-distance propulsion! Introducing examples of construction work.

We would like to introduce a case study of long-distance and curved thrust construction for a small soil cover, commissioned by Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. The project involves the construction of a rainwater drainage system aimed at alleviating flooding damage. Additionally, it features high-precision construction using a real-time measurement system. 【Project Overview】 ■ Project Name: Construction of the Okuzono Rainwater Drainage System, Section 23-1 ■ Location: 1-chome, Gojō, Dazaifu City, Fukuoka Prefecture ■ Client: Dazaifu City ■ Contractor: Kido and Miyahara Joint Construction Enterprise ■ Method: Ultimate Slurry Shield Method ■ Pipe Diameter: Ф1800mm ■ Thrust Length: L=583.7m ■ Curve: R=192m CL=211m at one location ■ Soil Cover: H=1.65m (minimum soil cover) (0.77D) (D=pipe outer diameter) ■ Soil Type: Silty gravel ■ Construction Period: March 2012 to March 2013 *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

[Construction Case] Ultra-large Diameter Pipe Pushing Work under Deep Depth and High Water Pressure

Construction case of the west Nippori trunk inflow channel connecting the pump building.

We would like to introduce a case study of a large-diameter pipe jacking construction under deep depth and high water pressure, commissioned by the Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Sewerage. This project involves the construction of the Nishi-Nippori mainline inflow channel (inner diameter 4,000mm) connecting the existing Nishi-Nippori mainline shaft (inner diameter 12m, depth 35m) and the Nishi-Nippori pump station. 【Project Overview】 ■ Project Name: Construction of Nishi-Nippori Mainline Inflow Channel at Higashi-Ogiku Purification Center ■ Location: 7-2 Higashi-Ogiku, Arakawa-ku, Tokyo (within Higashi-Ogiku Purification Center) ■ Client: Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Sewerage ■ Contractor: Wakatsuki Construction Co., Ltd. ■ Method: Earth pressure balance jacking method ■ Pipe Diameter: Ф4000mm (RC pipe type 70N/mm²) ■ Length of Jacking: L = 32.3m ■ Cover Depth: H = 29.8m ■ Soil Type: Sandy gravel (maximum gravel diameter approximately 300mm) ■ Hydrostatic Pressure Head: Approximately 30m ■ Construction Period: April 2012 to January 2013 *For more details, please feel free to contact us.

[Construction Example] Avoiding Obstacles with Vertical Curves (Arc Advancement)

The construction period associated with the shaft can be shortened, and costs for the structures of both shafts or piping, etc., can be reduced.

We would like to introduce a construction case of avoiding obstacles using the "arc propulsion" vertical curve, requested from Ishikawa Prefecture. This construction was planned as a river crossing project. To cross the river, the bank sheet piles posed an obstacle, so it was planned with "steep slope start → vertical curve → steep slope reach" to ensure the separation of the pipeline. 【Project Overview】 ■ Project Name: Seismic Reinforcement Project for Prefectural Water Supply Pipeline - Pipeline Burial Work (Kanazawa-1-53) ■ Location: Akatsuchi-cho to Kannon-do-cho, Kanazawa City, Ishikawa Prefecture ■ Method: Ultimate mud-water pressure propulsion method ■ Propulsion Pipe Diameter: Ф1350mm Hume pipe (Main pipe Ф900mm DIP-NS) ■ Propulsion Length: L=259m (Vertical/R550m, R380m Horizontal/R2000m) ■ Cover Depth: 3.9m to 16.8m ■ Soil Conditions: Sandy silt to clay to sandy silt ■ Pipeline Gradient: Start -11.3° Reach +16.8° *For more details, please feel free to contact us.
